THE OTHERS comes to London's Sprint 2018 at CPT!

Updated: Jan 27, 2018

“A vital, nourishing seedbed for bold, new and emerging artists” The Stage

The Others, devised and performed by Gabriella Leon, Phoebe Stapleton and Ed Theakston, has been chosen to be a part of Sprint 2018! Sprint is Camden People's Theatre's flagship annual festival of adventurous new performance. For 21 years, it’s been hosting the most eye-opening new talents in theatre – many of whom are now fixtures on major stages worldwide.  Always a highlight of the CPT year, Sprint is when we play fastest and loosest, where we open our doors widest to the most extraordinary array of new and diverse indie theatre talent.

In the dusty aftermath of Brexit, Grenfell and the refugee crisis, three derelict clowns unpick their futile attempts to make an impact on the world. One has come about a room, another resumes a relentless journey and the third desperately wants some company. The Others is an exploration through physical theatre, text and clowning of feeling like one of the others and laughing through it. Exactly one year on from the triggering of Article 50, come and join our collective shout into the void.

We are thrilled to be part of the 2018 programme. We will be performing The Others on Friday 16th March at 9pm. This will be a developed, full length production building on the success of the work-in-progress we presented at STYX last year.

Sprint 2018 promises another intense hit of creativity: three weeks of shows like you’ve never seen shows before, by the most surprising theatre-makers you’ve yet to meet. This year’s lineup, as ever, features brand new artists making their first professional work, and fast-rising talent performing new shows for the first time.

19 nights. 46 different shows. So much to get excited about. Join us.
