We're delighted to be taking two new pieces of work to STYX, Tottenham Hale.
We are bringing a double bill of new works to Tottenham Hale’s coolest arts space, STYX, for three nights only. Seconds from Tottenham Hale station (24hr Victoria Line and National Rail), the Styx warehouse has become known as a truly innovative space for theatre and performance.
Our debut production last year Bit of Sunshine won the Best Play award (LOST Theatre One Act Festival) and following on from a hit Edinburgh Fringe run transferred to London’s Theatre503. We are delighted to be working with a diverse cast to present these new, penetrating stories, specially developed for performances at STYX.
The Others finds three clowns in the dusty aftermath of Brexit, Grenfell and the refugee crisis trying to figure out how to make an impact on the world. Originally developed at East 15 Acting School, it is an exploration through physical theatre, text and clowning of feeling like one of the others and laughing through it. Devised and performed by Gabriella Leon, Phoebe Stapleton & Ed Theakston.
Prison Plays are a series of three short monologue plays, written by Katie Coull and performed by a different actor each night, centering on the people on the inside and outside of our country’s prisons and based on hours of testimony from inmates. Joining KILTER to perform these pieces will be Gemma Champness, Stephanie McGuinness and Jorginho Osuagwu.
