Storytelling workshops for children and young people.

We are running online workshops for children, young people and families. These sessions will provide the opportunity to explore storytelling and character, and will stimulate your creativity from the comfort of your own home.

Inspired by the stories told in Theatre For Two, the workshops will focus on friendship, connection and the art of telling stories. Storytelling should be for everyone, and these sessions will unlock your imagination.

Book your place now!

  • Storytelling - 6-11 year olds
    27 Jun, 10:15 – 11:00 BST
In this workshop for children aged 6-11, join Matthew and Katie to explore storytelling and expand your imagination. During this workshop you will be guided through building a character and taking them on a journey through challenges and surprises, all to defeat (or befriend!) the Worry Monster.
  • Storytelling - 12-16 year olds
    27 Jun, 13:00 – 14:00 BST
In this workshop for 12 to 16 year olds, explore telling your own stories, as well as adapting and retelling others compassionately and authentically. Through games such as “two truths and a lie” and hot-seating we’ll explore the power of storytelling, play and character.

How does it work?

Once you book your ticket you will receive a link to join the workshop via Zoom. You only need to book one ticket per screen, but if there will be more than one child attending please consider buying a ticket for them too.

The workshops are designed and delivered by Katie Coull and Matthew Grove. Katie is co-founder of We Are Kilter and Artistic Director of Arts For Essential Workers. She is passionate about making diverse work, accessible to everyone, and is a tutor at WAC Arts. Matthew is an experienced educator, with over five years' experience working in primary schools. As a performer he has performed on stages across London and Europe.

Please note: you do not need to have seen Theatre For Two to take part in these workshops.
